In the early 80s, the Memphis movement was born. Following in the footsteps of Pop Art, which sought to make art accessible to all (Art Populaire), the Memphis Group wanted to make art useful, to give it a function. Under the leadership of its Italian founder, Ettore Sottsass, the Memphis Group went on to make its mark on the history of design, using bright colours, patterns, and uninhibited creations.
In close collaboration with Saguez & Partners, and with all the innovative confidence placed in us by AXA IM, we wanted to pay tribute to this wind of freedom. Introducing MEMPHIS.
